Nancy Guinn, MD
Nancy Guinn, MD is the former medical director of Presbyterian Home Healthcare in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This group has created innovative programs in home-based care for patients coping with serious illness: Palliative Care in the Community and Inpatient Setting and Hospital at Home. She is board certified in family medicine as well as hospice and palliative care. She attended medical school and completed her residency in family and community medicine at the University of New Mexico. She completed a fellowship in palliative and hospice medicine at Stanford Medical Center. Dr. Guinn has worked as a primary care doctor in a community health center and as a solo practitioner. She is a founding member of Ideal Medical Practices, a national non-profit group focused on quality care. She is also a past president of the New Mexico chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
