Stephanie Terauchi, MD, MBA, FAAHPM
Stephanie Terauchi, MD is the Medical Director of Palliative Care for Texas Oncology Physician Associates in the North Texas region. She specializes in providing comprehensive palliative care to oncology patients and is dedicated to expanding palliative care services within the Dallas Fort Worth Community and State of Texas to end the healthcare inequities that exist in serious illness.
Dr. Terauchi earned her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Terauchi is also a Fellow of the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and serves as the Chair Elect of the Cancer and Cancer Related Treatments Special Interest Groups.
Prior to joining Texas Oncology in September 2023, she served as the Medical Director of Palliative Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center and created a program that nearly tripled in size over the 8 years of her tenure. Paving the way for academics, research, education, and clinical care, Dr. Terauchi is a strong advocate for the field of Palliative Care and is dedicated to improving serious illness care through public health, policy changes, and palliative care advocacy.
