A Comparison of Telehealth and In-Person Early Palliative Care for People with Advanced Lung Cancer
A randomized clinical trial published in JAMA evaluated whether early palliative care delivered via secure video was as effective as in-person visits for improving the quality of life for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Results showed that video and in-person care had equivalent effects on patient-reported quality of life, highlighting telehealth's potential to expand access to palliative care.
