New report addresses how Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) would increase access to palliative care for this population.

Today, the Center to Advance Palliative Care and ATI Advisory released a report titled, Opportunities for Improving Access to Palliative Care for Dual Eligible Individuals with Serious Illness. This report includes a profile of dual eligible individuals with serious illness and a potential palliative care need, and describes the various barriers dual eligible individuals often experience when accessing palliative care, as identified through research and interviews. The goal of the report is to increase access to palliative care for dual eligible individuals through D-SNPs.
