8 new dementia care courses offer clinicians training on effective communication with patients and loved ones, interpreting and addressing behavioral symptoms, and more.

Today, CAPC launched eight new Best Practices in Dementia Care and Caregiver Support courses, one of which is open to all. These courses offer clinicians from all specialties and disciplines training on how to effectively communicate with patients and their loved ones about a dementia diagnosis, navigate difficult care decisions, and more. Clinicians will gain insights from the latest research, engage in scenario-based, practical learning, enhance their communication skills to feel more confident in interactions with patients and caregivers, explore patient stories, and benefit from interprofessional expertise.

CAPC members who have taken our previous Dementia courses can take these courses and earn new CE/CME credits and CAPC Designation. Physicians can also earn free ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits.
