CAPC Releases Its 'Growth of Palliative Care in U.S. Hospitals: 2022 Snapshot'
This week, CAPC released its 'Growth of Palliative Care in U.S. Hospitals: 2022 Snapshot', which illustrates the exponential growth in palliative care programs in U.S. hospitals with 50 or more beds, from 2000-2020. As seen in the Snapshot, since 2000, the percentage of hospitals with a palliative care program has more than tripled. And as of 2020, more than 83% of these hospitals had a palliative care team.
