CMS Allows Medicare Reimbursement of Telehealth Visits

Under the COVID Public Health Emergency declaration, Medicare will reimburse participating clinicians for telehealth visits at the same payment rates as face-to-face visits, and allows practices to reduce or waive patient co-pays and deductibles. Other encounters, including brief communications and portal communications initiated by the patient can also be reimbursed.
