NASHP Releases FAQs for State Policymakers
This month, The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) released palliative care FAQs for state policymakers, which is a compilation of questions frequently asked while working closely with state policymakers over the past five years. The goal of this project was to help state policymakers increase access to palliative care, so that people living have serious illness can access palliative care.
Some questions include: "How do people with serious illness access palliative care across settings in states?" and "How are state Medicaid programs paying for palliative care?".
CAPC's Allison Silvers, MBA, and Stacie Sinclair, MPP, provided their input on the blog.
