Nursing Interventions for Managing Constipation in Patients with Cancer
A scoping review published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine identified three types of nonpharmacological nursing support to relieve constipation in patients living with cancer: acupressure, aroma massage to the abdomen, and self-management education. That said, the small sample size of studies (six) limits the conclusions, suggesting a need for further research to explore the feasibility and broader implementation of these interventions.
