Outcomes Similar for Telehealth vs. In-Person Early Palliative Care for Advanced Lung Cancer
A study published in JAMA Network sought to determine if early palliative care delivered through telehealth has the same effect on quality of life as in-person care for people living with advanced lung cancer. The results of the randomized trial showed similar outcomes via quality-of-life scores for both telehealth-based palliative care and in-person care. These results demonstrate the importance of improving access to telehealth for early palliative care delivery to improve quality of life for people with advanced lung cancer.
