Patient Navigator Intervention to Improve Palliative Care Outcomes
Authors of a study published in JAMA Network sought to answer if a bicultural, bilingual lay patient navigator would improve palliative care integration and outcomes for Hispanic patients living with a serious illness (non-cancer). The researchers found that while this intervention did not improve quality of life for these patients, it did help with advance care planning, and more.
