An article published in STAT summarizes a study presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, about the use of telehealth for early palliative care amongst people living with advanced cancer. The study, led by Joseph A. Greer, PhD, found that early palliative care delivered via telehealth was as effective as in-person care. Additionally, telehealth helps to improve patient's quality of life, including managing symptoms and emotional well-being, without compromising the effectiveness of care.
