Study Evaluates Access to LGBTQ+ Inclusive Palliative Care Research
A study published in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management sought to understand the accessibility of research on LGBTQ+ inclusive palliative, end-of-life, and bereavement care. Out of 66 articles on LGBTQ+ inclusive palliative care identified from 1990 to 2022, only 21% were open access (OA). The study underscores the critical need for OA research to inform inclusive practices and policies.
