American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM)

American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) is the national professional organization for physicians practicing the medical sub-specialty of hospice and palliative medicine. The organization supports its community of physician members through furthering workforce and career development, increasing knowledge and competency in hospice and palliative medicine, promoting high-quality evidence-based practice, and advancing public awareness and supportive policy.

CAPC regularly collaborates with the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) through participation in projects such as the Serious Illness Quality Alignment Hub, Mapping Community Palliative Care, the Palliative Care Quality Collaborative, and the MACRA Quality Measure Development Project. CAPC and AAHPM also provide mutual support on a range of relevant policy opportunities and quality initiatives.
