Advancing the Field of Pediatric Palliative Care
Overview
Pediatric palliative care has grown rapidly over the past decade and is increasingly making its mark as a key aspect of quality care delivery. Leveraging the growth and maturation of the field, a steering committee of pediatric palliative care leaders — representing a variety of disciplines, organizations, and areas of focus — convened in February 2019 to identify strategic solutions to improve access to care around the nation. Using a consensus-driven process, the committee discussed the impact and feasibility of potential interventions to grow and strengthen the field.
In this webinar, Drs. Friebert and Wolfe will report on the work the committee is doing to advance pediatric palliative care.
This national pediatric palliative care initiative was made possible through the generous support of funders Trudy Elbaum Gottesman and Bob Gottesman, The Cameron and Hayden Lord Foundation, the Louis H. Gross Foundation, and the US Cancer Pain Relief Committee.
