Health System Strategies: Using Data and Information to Prioritize Staffing and Growth
Overview
More and more palliative care programs are part of large, often complex health systems serving diverse populations across wide geographies. Being part of a larger health system presents wonderful opportunities to share data and information across different sites, even if each site operates as independent programs.
This webinar, moderated by Tom Gualtieri-Reed, MBA, will feature palliative care clinical and administrative leaders at MedStar Health and UAB Medicine. They will share their experiences and lessons learned in using their “systemness” to develop staffing and growth plans for both inpatient and outpatient palliative teams. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Describe options for how palliative care programs can organize within a health system
Understand strategies for accessing program information across sites to demonstrate impact and value
Identify two methods for using health system data to develop staffing plans in hospital and clinic settings
This is the second webinar in the ‘Planning Forward’ series, moderated by Tom Gualtieri-Reed, MBA.
