Palliative Care Teams Navigating COVID-19: Lessons from the Frontlines
Overview
With the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, we have asked a palliative care team to join us for a Master Clinician, focused around what they are experiencing on the frontlines, and lessons learned.
In this Master Clinician, Thomas Morel, MD, and Susan Nelson, MD, will share their palliative care team’s experience with COVID-19 at Oschner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana. They will discuss the impact of COVID-19 thus far, including the challenges, opportunities, and what has (and has not) worked for their team, as well as patients and families. Finally, they will share lessons learned, in an effort to help other palliative care teams preparing for a surge.
