Overview

Starting a new palliative care program—or growing an existing one—often requires significant change. This may include the adoption of new clinical workflows, the development of new referring relationships, and different approaches to provider and patient communication. In effect, implementing or growing a palliative care program may arguably be considered a change management initiative.

In this webinar, presenters will use a pediatric palliative care program as a case example, leading participants through the critical steps of an effective change management initiative. At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the challenges of leading teams through organizational changes
  • Identify at least six responses teams or stakeholders can experience during periods of change or uncertainty
  • Describe three practices for leading teams or organizations through a change initiative
