Description
The Palliative Medicine Service in the Department of Medicine at Boston Medical Center is seeking a passionate, motivated palliative care physician to join our faculty. Boston Medical Center is the largest safety-net hospital in New England and is committed to providing accessible, high-quality health care to all. The hospital is the main teaching affiliate of Boston University School of Medicine, and faculty members are committed educators who train students, residents, and fellows to become future leaders in health care. The Palliative Medicine Service aligns with the hospital mission by supporting patients and families facing serious illness with an integrated, collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
The physician will have the opportunity to work on an inpatient consult service and in an ambulatory setting. Palliative Medicine leadership is committed to the professional development of all members of the clinical team. Desired skill sets include strong clinical skills, commitment to lifelong learning and education, good communication skills, excellent teamwork, and dedication to caring for underserved populations. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
