The Henry Ford Medical Group Division of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is seeking a physician for the role of Senior Staff Physician in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. This position includes patient care, teaching, and scholarly work within the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Programs at Henry Ford Health.

The physician will:
• Serve as an Attending Physician on the interdisciplinary inpatient palliative medicine consultative service and inpatient hospice services at Henry Ford Hospital, and/or serve as an Attending Physician in our Henry Ford Cancer Ambulatory Palliative Medicine Clinic.
• Supervise and train medical students, residents, fellows, and other interdisciplinary learners (serving as clinical faculty for our ACGME- accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program with 2 fellows per year)
• Participate in scholarly activities in education, quality improvement, and research

Based on interest and skills the physician may:
• Become a facilitator for the innovative communication skills education program, CLEAR Conversations
• Participate in the development/maintenance of hospital-based protocols in pain, symptom management, advance care planning, end-of-life care, and other areas related to palliative medicine

Requirements:
• Initial board certification in a primary specialty
• Board-certification or Board-eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or other comparable experience
