Thank you for your interest in the Enhancing Palliative Care in Oncology program sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS) in partnership with the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC).

This program is being offered to support oncology teams in improving care for their patients by enhancing palliative care skills and services. Program participants will be provided with the training and resources needed to embed palliative care best practices into oncology and to support palliative care program development.

Program participants will receive:

  • One year of CAPC membership, sponsored by ACS, including online continuing education courses in core palliative care skills and learning pathways curated for oncology clinicians
  • A webinar series co-hosted by ACS and CAPC focused on practice-level integration of specialty palliative care, highlighting real-world implementation strategies and success stories and exploring primary palliative care models that work in oncology practices
  • Additional exclusive offerings facilitated by ACS and CAPC to support palliative care skills-building

Program participants will meet with a CAPC account manager within the first two weeks of membership activation to discuss organizational goals and design an education plan for your organization’s clinicians.

During the course of the membership, program participants are expected to actively engage in the ACS-sponsored offerings. If engagement levels do not meet ACS and CAPC expectations, a CAPC account manager will work with you to boost engagement levels.

A post-program evaluation will also be required.

Complete the online application below by November 1st to be considered. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the submission deadline or if we reach capacity.

If my application is accepted and my organization receives this award, I understand that participation from my organization in the program offerings is expected. Participation that drops below the minimum expected threshold may result in early termination of CAPC membership and affect acceptance into future ACS programs.
