Bethany Snider

Bethany Snider, MD, HMDC, FACP, FAAHPM

Bethany Cox Snider, MD, HMDC, FACP, FAAHPM, earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky, followed by residency training in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky, where she served as Chief Resident of the primary care track. She then pursued a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship with Hospice of the Bluegrass (now Bluegrass Care Navigators). Dr. Snider joined Hosparus Health directly out of fellowship as associate medical director and oversaw home hospice training for all fellows. She was first promoted to Senior Medical Director and then Chief Medical Officer in February of 2018. Over the past 8 years, she has overseen the medical component of care delivery in addition to leading the team responsible for innovation in the palliative and primary care businesses.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, the AAHPM Hospice Medicine Council and is in her 2nd term on the Kentucky Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Advisory Council as appointed by the Governor. She is a livelong Kentuckian and lives on a farm in Taylorsville with her husband John and their two children, John Mark and Elizabeth. She is passionate about ensuring access to holistic models of care for all impacted by serious illness and is excited about expanding access through innovative programs.
