Heidi Barham, M.Div., CT, CDP®
Heidi L. Barham is the Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Hospice of the Western (HWR) where she previously served as a Spiritual Care Coordinator for thirteen years. In her current role, Heidi works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and incorporate initiatives focused on DEI to ensure implementation at all levels of the organization including patient care access, service delivery, and education as well as recruitment and retention of paid staff, volunteers, and board members.
Heidi facilitates HWR’s internal Diversity Advisory Council and the DEI Affinity Group for the Care Solutions Network of Ohio (CSNO). Additionally, she is co-chair of the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation’s (NPHI) Health Equity Forum.
Heidi is involved in local community organizations including the Alzheimer’s Association’s DEI Advisory Council, the Minority Advisory Board of the Cleveland Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, the Minority Health Alliance, the Northeast Ohio Association for Hispanic Health, and the Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition.
Heidi holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University and a Master of Divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary. She earned her designation as a Certified Diversity Professional® through the Institute for Diversity Certification and is Certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement through the Association for Death Education and Counseling. She is also a graduate of the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s LeadDiversity program
