Jennifer Hicks, MSHA, MBA

Jennifer Hicks, MSHA, MBA is a Director of Clinical Practice Operations for the Palliative and Supportive Care Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Health System. Jennifer has 20 years’ experience in healthcare working at both community hospitals and large academic medical centers. Jennifer’s expertise is in strategic and business planning, clinical operations, and quality. She has specific interests in population health – particularly for older adult and seriously ill patients. Jennifer is actively involved in local, regional, and national initiatives to care for people with serious illnesses and their loved ones. Jennifer also leads the UAB PCLC (Palliative Care Leadership Center) program that has trained over 100 organizations in how to develop, grow, or expand their palliative care programs.
