Sandy Cayo, DNP, FNP-BC
Sandy Cayo, DNP, FNP-BC serves as the vice president of clinical performance and transformation at New Jersey Hospital Association. She oversees leadership of the Health Research Education Trust of NJ, which has initiatives related to perinatal quality, hospital quality improvement, opioid prevention, HIV prevention, and health equity education. Ms. Cayo’s research interests focus on social determinants of health and improving access and overall health outcomes for BIPOC communities. She oversees the Quality Improvement Institute and Garden State Patient Safety Organization in New Jersey. As a lifelong learner, Ms. Cayo is in the process of completing her DNP-PhD program where her research focuses on the impact of discrimination on cardiovascular health in African American women.
