Sara Elliott, MSN, RN, MS

With nearly two decades of healthcare experience, including years as an ICU nurse, Sara’s path into palliative care was both natural and purposeful. Currently serving as the Palliative Care Program Coordinator at JPS Hospital, Sara has led transformative initiatives such as establishing an outpatient palliative care clinic, creating the Palliative Care Resource Program, and driving quality improvement strategies across the organization.

An ELNEC (End-of-Life Nurse Education Consortium) Trainer and Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant, Sara is devoted to enhancing end-of-life care through education, consultation, and advocacy. Her efforts have earned her prestigious honors, including the DFW Great 100 Nurses Award and the Gold Stethoscope for Nursing Excellence. Sara is also an accomplished speaker, presenting at events like the TCU Hogstel Geriatric Symposium and the DFW Hospital Council Sepsis Conference. Through her work, she continues to improve patient outcomes and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
