Dementia Course for Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, and Care Managers

Dementia affects more than 6.7 million Americans, with 14 million projected cases by 2060. Patients living with dementia require complex care, placing immense responsibility on family and caregivers. CAPC’s free clinical course, Caring for the Caregivers of People Living With Dementia is an introduction to our Best Practices in Dementia Care and Caregiver Support curriculum.

This evidence-based course will help you:

  • Understand the population of dementia caregivers, their many responsibilities, and the impact of caregiving on the caregiver
  • Assess caregiver well-being
  • Take steps to ensure that caregivers’ needs are met
  • Identify local sources of respite care, support groups, caregiver education, and safe return programs, and refer caregivers to these services
